Biography
Stanley Porter, son of Samuel Porter, was born April 1, 1683; married, November 13, 1707, Thankful Babcock daughter of Jonathan Babcock and Mary Curtis. Children: Sarah Porter, b. March 25, 1727; married Jonathan Root. (p. 23-23)[1]
Jonathan Root, son of Jonathan and Sarah (Tarbox) Root, b. Dec. 16, 1735 in Hebron, Ct.; m. 1st, Jan. 15, 1756, Sarah Porter of Lebanon. She d. July 26, 1776; m. 2nd, Sept., 1776, Abigail Holdredge. He d. Oct. 1785. No children recorded. (p. 113; p. 125) [2]
