Biography

Immigrated to America from Ireland in 1777, arriving PA. Married Flora Brownfield 1786 in Mecklenberg County, NC. Parents of Anna, William, Jane, Robert, Dr. Samuel, Florah & David. He is buried at Fishing Creek in Chester Co., SC

Based on findagrave David is buried in S.C. His marker is located in Furgeson Cemetery, Carroll Co. Tn where his wife is buried.

Landed in New Castle, DE in 1767. He served with General George Washington at Valley Forge in the bitter winter of 1777-1778. He sustained a lung injury at Valley Forge and died a young man because of that injury. He died at Fishing Creek, Chester County, SC. In 1780 he married Florah Brownfield in Chester County, SC and they had nine children.
