My mother was a Roberts. Our ancestors lived in the Bahamas and in Key West. I am a native Floridian. My father never told us his real surname. I only learned it after his death and had my brother take a DNA test. I have since met one cousin on my father's side.. I have learned a little about my father's father but nothing about his mother, who was a Mueller.
Have you taken a DNA test? If so, login to add it. If not, see our friends at Ancestry DNA.

P.S. To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.
Thanks for your help, JoAnn
Because of the way the messaging service works at WikiTree, Azure didn't get notified about your question. A greeter might notice it as we attend to our duties like I did (thanks for signing the Honor Code, by the way) but there's no guarantee. That's why it's recommended to reply to comments on your own profile or ask questions for one person in the public comments on their profile.
Your GEDmatch ID is the kit number assigned to your DNA data when you uploaded it at GEDmatch.com. I can't give you a definite answer on whether uploading other tests to GEDmatch is of benefit. I will say that I have multiple tests loaded there and haven't seen any significant difference in matches after loading the others.
If you have any questions about how WikiTree works, let us know by using the "reply" link under our comments or by clicking our names to visit our profiles. From there you can leave a comment or send a private message.
See you in the branches,

Thank you for adding your DNA Test to your profile on WikiTree.
Getting Started with DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.
DNA at WikiTree provides a visual way for you to find others who have tested and have the potential of having common ancestors. To get the best results, you need to start with yourself and add sourced profiles for your ancestors until you can connect to existing profiles in WikiTree. 24 hours later, your test will have populated on the profiles of your ancestors and their descendants, where others with potential matches may also appear.
Have fun!
Azure ~ WikiTree Greeter
I am pleased to confirm and welcome you to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.
I would suggest starting with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.
I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site
Happy tree climbing
