Note: Birth record lists her name as "Nellie M. Porter", most other sources list her name as Nettie or Jeanette.

Listed in the funeral book of Dr. Monroe Porter as "Mrs. Jeanette Clarke", daughter of Monroe Porter and Phebe Van Wagoner. Most databases (as well as an old handwritten Porter genealogy paper) list this daughter of Monroe and Phoebe as "Nettie Porter". She was married to Erwin Stocum in the 1890s. Some sources list "Nettie" as having died a few years before George F. Clarke was born, but one lists "Nettie" as having been married to both a "Sid Stocum" and a "Ned Clark(e)", a misspelling of Edgar Clarke. In a copy of her son George F. Clarke's birth record, Jeanette is listed as having 3 previous children, although their father was not Edgar Clarke, but Erwin Stocum. Her marriage to Erwin Stocum ended around 1900. Her marriage to Edgar A. Clarke ended around 1925.

Jeanette resided near her son George and daughter-in-law Hazel in Mango Hills, Hillsborough County, FL, in 1930. She was still alive in 1932, since she is mentioned as a surviving child in the funeral notice for her father Monroe Porter. This is most likely the same Janet M. Clarke who died in Jacksonville in 1933 according to their death index.
