Biography
Jane was baptised at Mickleton, Gloucestershire on 18 July 1599. The register recorded her father as Mr Edmund Porter. [1]
Did Jane Porter marry a member of the Barttelot family of Sussex, or who was related to that family? Their monuments are a feature of Stopham church.
The Parish Register for Bretforton, Worcestershire, shows a 1627 marriage between William Bartlet and Mary Canning. A connection seems likely, to Canning family of Foxcote, and Porter family of Aston-sub-Edge.
