Biography

"The church in Sherburne was gathered March 6, 1685; consisting or 6 male members; Rev Daniel Gookin was ordained Pastor; dying in 1718; succeeded by Rev Daniel Baker, ordained as colleague in 1712; he died in 1731; and three years after Rev. Samuel Porter was ordained his successor; dying in 1758; and succeeded in 1759 by Rev Samuel Locke"[1]

Reverend Samuel Porter is buried at the Sherborn Center Cemetery, Sherborn, Middlesex, Massachusetts[2]

Rev Samuel Porter, had a daughter Mary; who married Samuel Locke, Jr.[3]

Samuel was born in 1709. He passed away in 1758.

Porter-7139 and Porter-6793 appear to represent the same person because: Samuel Porter died in September, 1858, and was succeeded by Samuel Locke in 1759 (Richardson Memorial)... This merge should be completed.
