Biography

James was born in 1839, the son of James Mattingly Porter and Mary Jane Frost of Deerfield, Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia^[1]

OCCUPATION: Liniment manufacturer

On January 2, 1864, he married Priscilla Foote the daughter of Richard Foote and Eliza Porter of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia^{[2] [1]}, and had children, including:
