Robert was born to Robert Porter 1665–1698 (Marriage: 6 November 1684 in Templemore, Tipperary, Munster, Ireland) and Eleanor Rogers 1668–1750

Death Date: July 1770; Place of Death: Norristown, Montgomery Co, Pennsylvania; Marriage Date: 1740; Marriage Place: Norristown, Montgomery, Pennsylvania, on 25 November 1705. Recorded/Isle Burt, Inishowen, County Donegal, Ireland.

Robert immigrated to America from Londonderry, Ireland in 1720. He settled in Londonderry, New Hampshire. He then moved to Norristown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania in 1740
