Statement in file adds youngest surviving son, Alanson, living in Ohio in 1845.
Ephraim Porter served with 4th Regiment, Connecticut Militia during the American Revolution.
During the American Revolution, he served as a Private in Captain Jabez Wheeler's Company, Colonel Samuel Whiting's 4th Regiment of Connecticut Militia.[1]
