Ira was born in 1894 and died in 1988. Ira Posey was the son of John Lewis Posey and Stella (Moore) Posey. Ira married Zelma E. Wyckoff February 16, 1916. On Ira and Zelma's honeymoon, they rode Ira's Harley Davidson motorcycle to Arkansas City, Kansas. He is buried at the Caldwell City Cemetery, Caldwell, Sumner County, Kansas.
