Biography
Humphrey was born in 1718. He died in 1784.
1784 Will of Humphrey Posey. 13 Mar 1783 / 28 Feb 1784. To my sons: Prior Posey, Benjamin Posey, Been Posey, and Roger Posey; and to my daus, Elizabeth Posey, Easter Posey, Mary Posey, Sarah Posey, and Ann Posey, 1 English shilling each and no more. To my wife, Mary Posey, the rest of my estate, and at her death, to my son, Wheeler Posey, and if he dies without an heir, to my son Roger Posey. Executor: Benjamin Maddox. Signed Humphrey (HP his mark) Posey. Sr. Wit: Leonard Maddox, Benjamin Maddox. Probated by executor and both witnesses. Ref: Wills 1782-1785, Liber B #1, p.278 Charles Co, MD.
