Biography

Maud and her twin brother Norman were the second and third children of ten born to Robert and Lavina Freeman Potter.[1] The family moved to Maple Grove township when Maud was about five years old.[2] She grew up on the farm and attended a rural school for eight years.[3][4] She went into domestic work for the Cleary family in Brainerd and worked there over ten years.[5][6]

She married George Lundeby when she was 36 years old. The lived on a farm in Long Lake township, near Brainerd, and had two sons.[7]

By 1940, the family was living on a farm in Maple Grove township.[8]

George died when Maud was 76 years old, and she died just short of her 86th birthday. Maud is buried with her husband in Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd.
