Biography

David Potter was born in Topsham, Sagadahoc, Maine.

David Potter, the son of Samuel Potter and Elizabeth Dunlap, was born May 29, 1780. He married Adah Witherell. He carried on his father's farm after his death. He died July 31, 1836. David and Adah had 14 children: Isaac, James Witherell, Sophia, Josiah Mitchell, Mary Gerrish, Adah Witherell, David Henry, Martha Ann, Samuel A., John C., Julia Octavia, Elmira Jane, Olive Syrene, and Vesta Annette.[1]
