"Whereas there is a petition presented by Isabell Morss, that her husband, Ephraim Morss, after long absence from her near three years, and now returned, threatening to take what estate she hath in her custody for her maintenace, the Assembly, upon consideration of her petition, understanding the circumstances of the matter, do enact and it is hereby enacted, that the said Isabell Morss shall have and possess every part of that estate now in her custody, as her proper estate; and the Magistrates of the town of Warwick are to take care that the said Morss do no violence to his said wife, nor take any estate from her."[2]

Anderson's Great Migration Series:

Anderson has doubts that Isabel was the daughter of Robert Potter
Married (1) Ephraim Morse and (2) William Burton
Will. She left bequests to the children of Captain James Greene, almost certainly son of Deliverance (Potter) Greene.
Sarah (Unknown) Potter Sanford, step mother of Robert Potter's children, left bequests to the children of John Potter, Elizabeth Potter and Deliverance Potter. If this was meant to be a complete list of Robert's children, then Isabel must have been some relation besides Roberts daughter. However there is the possibility that Isabel was not mentioned because she had no children.[3]

Her will is dated 26 January 1721/22 and proved on 15 September 1724 in Warwick, Rhode Island.[4]

Her date of death, 26 August 1724 is recorded in the heading of her inventory which was taken on 12 September 1724.[4] Her gravestone[5] is still intact in the Surgeon John Greene Lot (aka: Rhode Island Historical Cemetery Warwick #66) in Warwick, Rhode Island. The stone says she died 26 Sept 1724 aged 84.
