DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Mary by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Mary:
Mullins-1818 and Potter-2697 appear to represent the same person because: Marshall Mullins and Sarah Potter were formally married July 22, 1849 in Letcher County Kentucky after their children were grown. The children went by the name of Potter until their parents were married and then changed their names to Mullins. Polly was already married to James Osborne by that time.
