Margaret was born in 1771. She is the daughter of Samuel Potter and Susannah Poe. She married John A. Latta in 1794. In 1850, she was a widow living with her son-in-law, Henry McLaughlin and daughter Margaret.[1] Her daughter, Margaret Latta, is buried and Find-a-Grave has a biography that mentions John and Margaret Latta.[2]
