He died date unknown in Little Compton, Newport, RI. (Unsourced)

He married (2) Abigail Hilliard on 15 Dec 1750 in Little Compton, Newport, RI.[5][6] The marriage intentions were filed on 19 Oct. 1750 in Dartmouth, Bristol, MA.[3] His [second] wife's gravestone says wife of Chamolen/Chamblen/Chambien Potter.
The FindAGrave contributor suggests his name was Champlain Potter, and that his wife was: "Born in Little Compton, Bristol Co., MA which is now in Newport Co., RI. She married Champlain Potter on 15 Dec 1750 in Little Compton, RI." Her parents were: David Hillard 1677-1748 and
Susanna Luther Hillard 1686-1777.
Note: The above unsourced comments refer to Abigail Hilliard, 2nd wife of Champlain Potter, not his third wife.
The following author is unaware that Abigail died before July 1754, and that Champlain remarried. As a result, he incorrectly assigns all 6 children to her. Actually, 5 of those children probably go with Champlain's 3rd wife, Margaret Brownell.
He married (3) Margaret Brownell on 28 July 1754 in Little Compton, RI[7]
