Biography

Anne Potter was born in 1585 Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire, England.[citation needed]

Anne is related to Commodore Porter. (from Gleaning the Past...Part 2, Burr Oak Township, St. Joseph County, Michigan).

Marriage

On 11 March 1609 in Lichfield, Staffordshire, England, Thomas Perrin, Jr, married Anne Potter (1585-1625). [citation needed]

Research Note

There is no "De la Fouche" in Leicestershire, but there is an "Ashby de la Zouch" in Leicestershire. So I corrected the birth place.

Research Notes

-No Anne Potter baptized 11 Mar 1589 listed in the IGI (indexed) or at freereg.org.uk
-No such place as "De La Fouche, Leicestershire, England" listed in the drop down menus or in a google search. Perhaps ‎Ashby-de-la-Zouch Leicestershire

Please be aware that the Perrin pedigree of which the alleged marriage of Anne Potter to Thomas Perrin is a part is mostly fake - the work of the notorious fraudster Gustave "Anjou." See https://ancestralfindings.com/gustave-anjou-intriguing-career-genealogical-fraud/. Years ago, I spent a lot of time trying to verify the pedigree in original records, but came up short. See my comments on the profile of Anne's alleged husband Thomas Perrin (Perrin-121).

Potter-1480 and Potter-482 appear to represent the same person because: Same name. Same father. Similar birth dates. Apparently the same birthplace, but with two different spellings.

I don't know anything about a marriage to Perrine, but the fact that it is currently shown on only one of the two profiles doesn't alter my impression that these two profiles were intended to represent the same Anne Potter.

Potter-3210 and Potter-482 appear to represent the same person because: These two profiles seem extremely similar, same husband names, same daughter Elizabeth. Do we have reason to believe that they are different people?

Options (she shouldn't stay the way she is):

-Merge her into Ann Potter-1468 -Change the birth information to 11 Nov 1599 and leave connected with uncertain father. -Change the birth information to 11 Nov 1599 and disconnect.

Do you have a preference? Objections?

There was baptized at Newport Pagnell Ann Potter 11 Nov 1599 SRC: "England Births and Christenings, 1538-1975," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:J3DQ-62W : 30 December 2014, Ann Potter, 11 Nov 1599); citing NEWPORT PAGNELL,BUCKINGHAM,ENGLAND, index based upon data collected by the Genealogical Society of Utah, Salt Lake City; FHL microfilm 88,489.

No father was listed but she could be his daughter. There are at least two sets of children bpt in NP that overlap. Both have children bpt Oct 1597, neither of which is in the published list of children.

Saving this profile generated the following error --A child's birth date (Potter-1480 born 11 Mar 1589) should not be before a parent is six years old (father Potter-1469 born 1594) .

Potter-4385 and Potter-482 appear to represent the same person because: Clear duplicate.

Potter-3210 and Potter-1480 do not represent the same person because: Too many errors at this time to determine... Listing has Anne Potters Father born after she was and in America. Anne listed as born in England and died in England. Based on this, plus look at siblings with same problems, it would only be a guess, which is what this already appears to be a result of. The entire listing needs a lot of research. Best to leave as is and I must say I have no idea where to begin to fix it. JIB

Potter-3210 and Potter-1480 appear to represent the same person because: Is it possible these are a match? Same birth year.
