Biography

John Potts Jr. (1728-1808) married Hannah Davis on the 6th of May, 1760 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.[1]

Research Notes

From Sons of American Revolution application: Thomas Potts was a member of the Provincial Congress of New Jersey representing Sussex County NJ in 1775 and 1776, and representing his section of New Jersey in the Continental Congress in 1776 and 1777 in which year he died.[2] Other SAR applications have the Continental Congress service crossed out, but retain the Provincial Congress service listed.

Great-great-grandfather of president Theodore Roosevelt.
