Biography

Millicent was born in 1868. She is the daughter of Thomas Henry Potts and Emma Phillips. She would have spent her early years at Ohinetahi at Governor's Bay, Lyttelton New Zealand, built by her father, Thomas Henry Potts.

Millicent married Wilfred Hall in 1896 and lived in the house they completed in 1913; Gunyah, at Glenroy, Canterbury, New Zealand. Before moving into Gunyah, Millicent and Wilfred lived at Farfield for a time, also in Christchurch and Sumner.

Wilfred and Millicent had 3 children; Emma Millicent, Kenneth Wilfred John and Mary who, according to records died just hours after her birth.

Millicent passed away in 1932 at the age of 64 and is buried next to Wilfred, her husband, at St John's Anglican Church cemetery in Hororata.
