Biography
Charles Poulin was born on 28 Feb 1839 and was baptized the next day in Saint-François-de-Sales parish in Beauceville, Bas-Canada. He was the son of Antoine Poulin, farmer, and his wife Marcelline Rodrigue of this parish. Godparents at Charles' baptism were Charles Poulin and Sophie Rodrigue. At age 24 Charles married Angèle Thibodeau on 10 Nov 1863 in Saint-François parish. There are records for three children born into this marriage. Charles died at age 52 in 6 May 1891; he was buried two days later in Saint-François parish cemetery in Beauce.
