William Powell married Sarah Francis 26 Feb 1691. His wife was born in 1664, from this his birth is estimated about 1660. His parents are unknown.
In 1695 he drew a land allotment in Wethersfield. In 1704 he was "a poor and indigent" person and his children were "put out" (apprenticed) by the town.
Powell died by 1714. The town built a little home for his widow before that date. Perhaps died before 9 April 1713, when Thomas was placed again. The wording in the record "supposed to have departed this life" sheds some doubt on William's demise, but reference to his widow in 1714 confirms his death.
