Biography
George Washington Terry married Eliza Powell in Montana after Eliza's first husband, John Russell Carter, died or disappeared in Montana sometime earlier. John Carter and Eliza had four children. The children were Susanah, Mary Elizabeth, Cornelia Frances and Joseph Levi. George and Eliza had six children: Andrew E. Terry, Nancy Jane, Alice Eliza, Georgiana, and George Albert.
