Biography
Henrietta (Powell) Bridle was born in the Colony of New South Wales (1788-1900)
Henrietta Emma Powell was born on 13th December 1867 in South Arm, on northern New South Wales' Clarence River (Australia). She was the third daughter of George Powell and Mary Small. [1] She was a great granddaughter of First Fleet convicts, John Small (1761-1850) and Mary Parker (c1758-1824), Second Fleeter George Patfield (1763-1809), and 1793 convict arrival, Mary O'Brien (c1772-1853).
Henrietta married William Bridle on 1st July 1896 in Tyagarah, New South Wales. [2] The couple were living in Tumut later in 1896, in Peak Hill in 1897, and back at Tyagarah in 1903 when children were born to them.
Aged almost 85 years, Henrietta passed away on 1st November 1952 in Hunters Hill, on the northern bank of Sydney's Parramatta River, New South Wales. This was six months after her husband. [3]
