Biography
When Douglas Powell was born in 1730 in Brunswick, Virginia, his father, John, was 35 and his mother, Alice, was 26. He died in 1790 in Sampson, North Carolina, at the age of 60. He married Susan Bradshaw on July 28, 1820, in Robeson, North Carolina. They had nine children in 16 years.
