Biography

Capt John Power, the son of Nicholas Power and Mercy Tillinghast was born about 1702/1703 in Providence, Rhode Island. [1] He died 18 Feb 1772 (aged 68–69) in Providence, Rhode Island and is buried at North Burial Ground in Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island.[2][3]

Power-59 and Power-1130 appear to represent the same person because: Although there are discrepancies about birthplace and deathplace. THese two John Power Sr appear to be the same. DNA comparison of Mary Holloway offspring descendants and a John Power Jr descendant consistently match albeit weakly around 6-8 cM 100-300 SNP segment.

Power-960 and Power-59 appear to represent the same person because: All facts the same except death year. I suspect he did not live to 120 as in 1830 date.
