Anne Poythress was born in Virginia before 1682[1] to Francis and Rebecca Poythress.[2]
Anne married Burrell (sometimes Burwell) before 1721.[3]
Anne (Poythress) Green died after 1733[4] (she was appointed adm. of her husband's estate September 1733[5]).
Land Transaction
"On 15 November 1721 Burrell Green and his wife Ann of Surry Co. and Francis Poythress of Prince George sold land to Robert Hunnicutt, part of a patent to Rebecca Poythress for 1000 acres of land ‘half of which land is in the possession of Littleberry Eppes, 300 acres of said land was given Rebecca Poythress, a daughter of said Rebecca and 200 acres to the sd. Anne Green. Burrell Green died intestate in Surry and his widow Ann was appointed adm. of his estate 19 Sep 1733. They appear to have lived in what was later Sussex County."[5][6]

↑ parents are certain; maiden name of mother is usually Coggin (with variations in spelling); "Tye" mentioned in #BatteChart. Rebecca's entry in #Rootsweb says:
"On several index cards, but not all, Coggin is crossed out and Tye is substituted. There appears to be no "Tye" card elsewhere index cards. The substitution is not necessarily in Batte's own hand. It is generally discounted as a mix up over a parent's lineage."

Poythress-2 and Poythress-20 appear to represent the same person because: despite the 4-year difference for birth, these appear to be the same person & should be merged. Thanks!
