Mary was put as the daughter of Thomas Prather and Martha Sprigg, but they did not mention a daughter in their will, so if she had been their daughter she would have died before she was eleven. [1]
Mary was the sister of Martha Sprigg. Mary's parents are Thomas Sprigg and Eleanor Nuthall. Thomas Sprigg in his will dated May 6, 1704, probated on December 29, 1704, named his grandson, Thomas and Oliver Stockett, and beueathed personalty to each child unnamed of his 'son' Thomas Stocket. Mary was married to Thomas Stockett on March 12, 1689/90.[2]
Mary Sprigg Stockett was born 1671, Anne Arundel, Maryland, died January 27, 1693/94 in Maryland.[3]
