Probated 22 June 1772 Bedford Co., VA.
First I lend to my loving wife during her natural life the plantation with 160 acres of land lying on Stony Fork, Whereon we now live together with all my personal estate.
My son Thomas Prather the land lent my loving wife Catheron, after her decease.
I give to my son Johnathan Prather the residure of the tract of land I now live on being 163 acres lying on Shoulder Camp.....
I give my son William Prather my entry of land on Elk Creek....
All my personal estate lent my loving wife to be divided after her decease, between my children here after named, viz, Mary, Elizabeth, Reace, Isaac, Ann and Tabitha Prathers...
If the debts and monies due me shall not be sufficient to satisfy my creditors and particularly to indemnify my Securities fro the Parish Collection, my executors shall sell the above given lands '(my sons') or so much as will do the same.
Executors: Well beloved friends james Callaway, Charles Lynch, with my loving wife Catherine.

: He is believed to have been the Jonathan Prather that was in Caroline Co., VA. in 1732.

Jonathan Prather IV was also a Deputy Sheriff in Bedford Co., Va.

His children listed in his Will: Mary, Elizabeth, Reace, Isaac, Ann, Tabitha, Thomas, William and Jonathan. He was christened at Will Made Aug.16, 1771 'to My Loving Wife'. He was born circa 1715 at of, Prince George, Md. He married Catherine Reece circa 1745 at Bedford Co., Va.. Prather-2204 and Prather-370 appear to represent the same person because: sure looks like they are intended to be the same person. One son may also need a merge. The wife might be triplicated here.
