Aaron "Allen" Prather, Jr was born in 1739. He was the son of Aaron Allen Prather (1710–1777) and Mary Swearingen (1735–1805)[1]
Allen was apparently a scribal error on his marriage record. It has not been found elsewhere.
Aaron Prather was born in 1732 in Queen Anne Parish, Prince George's County, Maryland. He was the son of Aaron Prather (1710-1777) and his wife Jane Prather, who died in 1779.[2]

He died after 1797 in Rock Creek Parish, Frederick County, Maryland. [2]
He died in 1806 in Montgomery County, Maryland, USA and is buried in the Prather Family Cemetery, Montgomery County, Maryland, USA. His tombstone is inscribed "aged 82" which would place his birth year as 1718, however this would make his parents too young. [8]
Burial
The Prather cemetery is the location of the old Prather family homestead. There are no longer any buildings here, but recently a sandstone obelisk was uncovered at the top of the hill, near the gas line. It is a marker erected in 1866 by descendants of the Prather family. There are a number of tombstones and many triangular-hewn stones - some with initials, but mostly unmarked. [9]
