Biography

Timothy was born in 1731 and passed awaay about 1775. He is the son of John Pratt and Bathsheba Fay. [1][2]

Marriage

Husband: Timothy Pratt
PREF Y
Wife: Ruth Abbott
Date: 14 Oct 1736[3]

Timothy is listed in the book cited above, but I cannot locate his birth record in the Hardwick, Massachusetts published vital records. However, Timothy's marriage to Ruth Abbot on 14 Oct 1756 is found at Hardwick, Massachusetts.[4] According to the "History of Hardwick", several families became dissatisfied with the church at Hardwick in the 1750s. By the early 1760s many of these families had relocated to Bennington, Vermont. It appears that Timothy is one of those families.

In the "Descendants of George Abbott, of Rowley, Mass", the author does provide a sketch of this family.[5] The author states that the family resided in Shaftsbury, Vermont. Apparently, Timothy's wife outlives him and marries, secondly, a Mr. Ellis. Five Pratt children are listed with no birthdates, Scene (I wonder if it is Seneca), Caleb, Paul, Nathan, and Lois.

Timothy's estate is administered by his son Caleb Pratt at Bennington, Vermont in April of 1775.[6]

Pratt-10355 and Pratt-1968 appear to represent the same person because: Even though the birth date is off on Pratt-1968, it is clearly the same person.
