Biography

John Pratt was born at Weymouth, Suffolk, Massachusetts Bay Colony on 17 August 1663 to Samuel and Hannah (Rogers) Pratt.[1]

He was married three times: First, around 1681, to Mary ----, with whom he had one child, Samuel Pratt (born 15 Oct 1686).

John's second marriage, around 1701/2 after Mary's death, was to Elizabeth Swift, daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth (Vose) Swift of Milton. Together, John and Elizabeth had two children, Nathaniel (born 26 Oct. 1702) and Thomas (born 3 Jan. 1704-05).

After Elizabeth's death on 25 Dec 1736, John married his third wife, the widow Sarah (Dunbar) Gardner, daughter of Robert and Rose (Unknown) Dunbar of Hingham, on 18 Sep 1737 in Weymouth.

John died at Weymouth on 8 Feb. 1743-44, "in his 81st year."[2]
