Nathan was born circa 1723[1] in Middleboro, Plymouth, Massachusetts Bay to parents Samuel Pratt and Jerusha Conant. He was baptized 18 December 1726 at the First Church in Middleboro.[2]
He married Margaret Sampson daughter of Isaac and Sarah (Barlow) Sampson (Jr.),[2] 3 December 1747. of Middleborough, on 3 Dec. 1747 in Middleborough.[3] She was born on 15 Apr. 1728 in Plympton,[4] a granddaughter of Isaac and Lydia (Standish) Sampson, of Plympton.[5]
They had children:
Jerusha Pratt, born on 10 July 1751 in Middleborough, married Thomas Harlow, son of Lemuel and Joanna (Paddock) Harlow, of Middleborough, on 1 Jan. 1772 in Middleborough.
Nathan Pratt (Jr.), born on 9 July 1752 in Middleborough, possibly married Betty Howland, of Middleborough, on 17 Oct. 1776 in Middleborough.
Betty Pratt, born on 21 May 1755 in Middleborough[6]
Micah Pratt, born on 14 June 1758 in Middleborough[6]
Silvanus Pratt, born on 23 Feb. 1761 in Middleborough[6]
He was not a head of household in Plymouth Co., MA, in the 1790 federal census.
Nathan was the eldest son, and executor of his father’s will.
