He was born in December 1759 in Bolton, Worcester, Massachusetts Bay and was the son of Joseph Pratt.
He moved to New Hampshire.
During the American Revolution he served as a Private in the New Hampshire Militia on the Continental Line. [1]
Josiah Pratt married Mary Mills.
He died on 12 Aug 1830 in Dunham, Brome, Quebec and was buried at Stone Church Cemetery in Brome, Monteregie Region, Quebec (now part of Canada). [2] [3]
