Biography

Elisha was born in 1774 to Daniel Pratt and Abigail Bigelow in Colchester, Connecticut Colony.

In 1796, Elisha married Sally Sill in Lyme, Connecticut. They had at least four children, the first born in Connecticut and the others in Pennsylvania. By 1803, they were living in Pennsylvania.

In about 1806, Elisha passed away, probably in Pennsylvania.

5540. Sarah [daughter of Isaac Sill and Elizabeth Hyde], b. 15 June, 1779, at Lyme. She m. Elisha Pratt of Colchester, Conn., and removed to Alexander, N. Y., where he died. She then m. Stephen Evarts for her second husband who also died. She then m. Philemon Smith of Lee, Illinois, for her third husband.

[Note: Elisha Pratt and Stephen Evitts are believed to have died in Pennsylvania. Philemon Smith lived and died in Alexander NY. There is no evidence that Philemon was "of Lee, Illinois." It is possible that's where Sarah (Sill) Evitts Pruitt Smith passed away.]
