Eleazer was born 3 Jun 1767 in Middleboro, Mass. He was the second child of Paul and Jael (Bennett) Pratt.[1]
On 21 Apr 1791 he married Aurelia Winslow in Dartmouth, Mass.[2] His parents and numerous family were among the original group of settlers to establish a village at New Vineyard.[1] At the time it was still a part of Massachusetts, becoming a town in Maine when statehood was granted in 1820. The couple went into farming near his father's farm in the vicinity of New Vineyard. The couple would have two children born on the farm by September, 1793[1] when his wife seems to disappear from all records.
Eleazer remarried 23 Jun 1796 in Farmington, ME.[3] This marriage was to Rhoda Luce. They would go on to have eight children, all born in New Vineyard.[1]
He would die 24 Jan 1832 at the age of 64.[1] Rhoda would survive him by 18 years.[1]
