If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

Hi Leanne, I'm Mary Richardson, a Mentor. Thought I would send some helps for you. ENJOY. Go slow for accuracy, add your family one person at a time, recheck, then SAVE.

Check out How To Use WikiTree. It's a great step-by-step guide to get you started.

We want to just add just one profile per person. Please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. Try to add DOB, DOD, locations, references to each person assists in our mission as well!

You might also want to check out our (http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:GEDCOMsGEDCOMS). Please keep in mind that our primary vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person, so please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. ***If you intend to upload it, I recommend that you start with about 100 people for your first upload, til you get used to the system. Hello, I have been researching my family tree since 2007 and have an extensive collateral tree. I don't believe that I 'own' my ancestors and would love to help fill in the gaps that may be in other peoples branches. I have a tree with over 13,000 people - so I will have to learn how to lop off some branches before I can upload my gedcom.
