Biography

Fidella was born about 1846. He was the son of Andrew Presley and Nancy Tilley. He passed away in 1918. [1]

Fidella was born on 22 March 1846 in Speedwell, Jackson, North Carolina, United States. He was the son of Andrew Peter Presley and Nancy Jane (Tilley) Presley.[2]

In the 1850 census Fidella (age 4) was living in Tennessee Valley, Macon, North Carolina, USA.[2]

In the 1860 census Fidella (age 14) was living in Jackson, North Carolina.[3]

When Fidella was 19 he married Sarah Alzora Johnson on 12 January 1866 in Jackson County, North Carolina, USA.[4] They had 11 children: Nancy Elizabeth Pressley, James Andrew Presley, Liza Jane Presley, Thomas Clingman Pressley, Fannie Matilda Pressley, Ella Mae Presley, Robert F Pressley., Thadius Alexander Presley, Daniel Patton Pressley, Hanson Maine Pressley and Harlie Bowers Pressley.

In the 1870 census Fidella (age 24) was living in Culawhee, Jackson, North Carolina, USA. Post Office: Webster.[5]

In the 1880 census Fidella (age 34) was living in Cullowhee, Jackson, North Carolina, USA. Marital status: Married. Relation to Head of House: Self.[6]

In the 1900 census Fidella (age 54) was living in Cullowhee, Jackson, North Carolina, USA. Marital Status: Married. Relation to Head: Head.[4]

On 23 July 1918 Fidella (age 72) Marital Status: Married.[7]

Fidella was living in Cullowhee, Jackson County, North Carolina when he died at the age of 72 on 23 July 1918 in Speedwell, Jackson, North Carolina, United States.[8][9] Fidella was buried on 25 July 1918.[7]
