Arthur Edward Preston was born on 30 Jul 1909^[1] in Gosford, New South Wales, Australia as the third child of William Preston and Alice Ferguson. He had six siblings, namely: Freda, John, Elva Grace, Loma Linda, Cedric Paul, and William Hilton. He died on 09 Nov 1942^[2] in Hornsby, New South Wales, Australia. When he was 19, he married Hazel Harriet Evelyn James,daughter of Clifford Percy James and Harriet Mary Hannah Cowell, on 11 Aug 1928^[3] in Gosford, New South Wales, Australia.

Arthur Edward Preston and Hazel Harriet Evelyn James had the following children:
