Delight Preston was born 23 Jul 1806 in Marcellus, Onondaga, New York, daughter of Levi Preston (1782-1857) and Wealthy Lathrup (1777-1833). Her sblings were: Chester A. Preston (1808 - 1886); Anna Preston Bates (1810 - 1851) and Orilla Preston Waite (1834 - 1916). ^[1]

She married Daniel Brackett Austin (1800-1884) on February 28, 1821 in Clarendon, Orleans Co., New York. ^[2]
