Hannah Richards or Price, born in 1656, sister to Jane, wife of Cadwalader Morgan, of Merion, and to Edward Price, who came to Pensylvania before 1685-6, and daughter of Richard Gryffyth ap Rhys, or Prees, and Price, of Llanvawr or Lanfor parish in Merioneth, a member of the Friends Penylln Monthly Meeting, near Bala, whose will dated 26 11mo 1685, was filed at St Asaph registry in 1686. His will describes him as of Glanlloidiogin. Llanfor parish. Witnesses were Edward Nicholas, Thomas ap Robert, Lowry v Thomas, Rees Evans, and Cadwalader Ellis. To Edward Prees, alias Price (of Merion), eldest son (after he came over here he sent to Wales for "some intelligence of his Pedigree" which he received about 1700, and is extant); Jane, eldest daughter, wife of Cadwalader Morgan; daughter Hannah, wife of Rees John William [aka Rees Jones]; grandchildren William John, and Catherine John, children of John William; and son Thomas ap Richard, the executor, who received all of the estate of his father. Thomas renounced the trust, when the Court gave the administration to Edward Nicholas, of Cynlas.[1][2]
Hannah Price was born about 1656 in Llanfor, Merionethshire, Wales.
She boarded on the ship Vine and arrived at the Colony of Pennsylvania on 17 September 1684. The ship's master was William Preeson.
Hannah Price married first, Rees John William [aka Rees Jones].
After Rees’s death, Hannah, his "relict' [widow], married secondly at the Merion Monthly Meeting, on 22. 2mo. 1703 [22 April 1703], Ellis David/Davies, of Goshen Twp., a widower, who was buried, 17. 1 mo. 1720.[3][4]
Hannah Davies, the widow of Ellis David/Davies, married thirdly, Thomas Evans, of Gwynedd Twp. at Merion Monthly Meeting on 14. 1 mo. 1722 [14 March 1722].[5]
Mrs. Hannah Evans died on 29 November 1741 in Chester County, colonial Province of Pennsylvania.
Hannah's father was a member of Penllyn Meeting, held near Bala. His name appears often signed to papers issuing from that meeting, such as certificates of removal, of those desiring to remove to the colonies. Page 75- "Merian in the Welch Tract"
