DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Elisa by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Elisa:
I think there is a mix up here. Elisa Ellen Price was married to Levi Bud Jackson - but I think there is another Eliza that was married to James Bales. There are multiple 'Eliza Bales' Census records in 1910 and 1920 - after Elisa Jackson had passed (1904 or 1910). This will need some further scrutiny.
My suspicion is there are 2 Eliza/Elisa's and one is married to Levi Jackson and the other to James Bales.
I just reviewed a new hint for Levi Bud Jackson in Ancestry - it indicates that Elisa was a 'Bales' before they married and her date of death is 11/22/1904. I need to do some more research on who she was married to previously because if the other profile is right - James Monroe Bales was her husband - he died in 1944. A census record says he was widowed by 1900. Something is amiss...
My suspicion is there are 2 Eliza/Elisa's and one is married to Levi Jackson and the other to James Bales.
