Harriett Theodora Price was born on 15 June 1839 at Chesterton in Oxfordshire. She was the daughter of Aubrey Charles Price and his wife Ann, born Theodora Ann Hewitt. ^{[1] [2] [3] [4] [5]}

In 1841 Harriett Price was living at Chesterton with Charles and Ann Price (presumably her parents) and their other children. Her age was given as 2, implying a birth date in 1838 or 1839. ^[6]

In 1851 Theodora Harriett Price was living in Swan Street in Bicester with her widowed mother Theodora Ann. Her age was given as 11, implying a birth date in 1839 or 1840. Her birthplace was given Chesterton, Oxfordshire. She was described as a scholar at home. [Presumably being educated by her mother.] ^[3]

Edmund Wallace Elmslie, Esq., of Great Malvern, and Theodora Harriett Price, only daughter of the late Rev. Aubrey C. Price, vicar of Chesterton, Oxfordshire, were married at the Priory Church at Great Malvern on 17 September 1862. ^[4]

In 1911 Harriett Theodora Elmslie, a widow, was living at Sea Villa, Bath Road, in Bournemouth in Hampshire with her unmarried daughter Ida Mary. Her age was given as 71, implying a birth date in 1839 or 1840. Her birthplace was given as Chesterton, Oxfordshire. She was described as a lady of no occupation with private means. ^[5]
