Elizabeth was born in 1802. Her christening record dated 25 July 1802 in Holt, Denbighshire, Wales cites her parents as Thomas Price and Diana Price. An as-yet unverified source names her mother as Diana Parsonage, born 1771.
Another as-yet unverified source records that she may have had a brother Thomas Price (born 1801), a sister Margaret Price (1805-1891) and a sister Anne Price (born 1806).
On 6 November 1821 she married James Edelsten in the parish church of St Chad in Holt, Denbighshire, Wales. Her spouse is described as a pin manufacturer. Her sister (?) Margaret Price signed the record as a witness, as did a Frederick Japaman (?)

This may well be the current "Kings Head" pub and hotel.
On 5th May 1860 she filed a petition for "judicial separation" from her husband James. His response was filed 15th June 1860. It would seem the separation did not proceed, as in the census taken the following year on 7th April 1861 she is still recorded as James' wife and living with him in the same household.
In her 1860 application for separation she states she and her husband "have had issue of their said marriage fifteen children of whom seven only survive to wit five sons and two daughters."
