Biography

Mary Ann "Mollie/Molly" Priddy was born November 18, 1871, in Moulton, Lawrence County, Alabama. She was first born of John Priddy and Ida Etheridge.[1] The Priddy's migrated from Alabama to Texas in the late 1880's.[2]

Mary first married Edward J. Dutton 13 Sept 1885 in Lawrence Co., Alabama and they migraged with the Priddy family to Texas. Together they had 1 child:

  1. Charley Oscar Dutton (B. 25 August 1888 - 1960).

It is unknown what happened to Edward J. Dutton, but on October 4, 1893 in Batesville, Zavala County, Texas, Mary married a second time to Tolbert Fannin McKinney. Tolbert adopted Mary's son and together Tolbert and Mary had 4 children:

  1. Della Priddy McKinney Wolfe (1895 - 1972)
  2. Tolbert Faires McKinney (1899 - 1980)
  3. Thomas Priddy McKinney (1901 - 1981)
  4. Mary Ida Elizabeth McKinney Eckenfels (1904 - 1982)

She died, at the age of 69, on October 17, 1933 in Dallas, Texas.[1] She was buried in Pleasant Mound Cemetery on October 20,1933 with no headstone by the Weener Funeral Home of Dallas, Texas.[3]
