William Prince and his wife Mary's son Gilbert Prince was born in Preston, Lancashire, and his birth was registered there in the 1st quarter 1909.[2][3]
Gilbert died on the 29th May 1914 with his parents William and Mary, perished in the wreck of the 'Empress of Ireland' when it sank off Pointe-au-Père in the Saint-Laurent river, Québec, Canada near the mouth of the St Lawrence River.[4]
