The Dutch Roots Project is a project for WikiTreers interested in improving the profiles of early Dutch people and their descendants.This project serves as a forum for researchers and descendants of all people born in the Netherlands, so all of you with Dutch Roots !

Dutch Roots Needs Templates en Categoriën

Alle vroege Nederlandse (Pre-1811) profielen komen, vanwege o.a de patroniemen en problemen met de LNAB (=last name at birth of achternaam bij geboorte) en het vaak grotere risico op duplicaten, in aanmerking voor beheer en bescherming van het Dutch Roots Project. Omdat onze project template (project box) en sticker beide een ingebouwd onderhoudsysteem hebben, kun je daarmee beginnen, en zo stap voor stap een profiel klaar maken, netjes maken en voorzien van acceptabele bronnen voor geboorte/doop, etc., Voor profielen die onder projectbeheer vallen moet ook het Dutch Roots Project Account toegevoegd worden als 'co manager', het genereert een project watchlist en feeds, en dit maakt het mogelijk om de profielen beter te beschermen, en we kunnen hierdoor gemakkelijker samen aan ze werken en ze met elkaar delen. Project Account (als co manager toegevoegd) + (PPP) + Project box (project template) gaan samen.
  • Project boxen (templates) worden altijd geplaatst boven het hoofdstukje Biography en dan moet dus ook altijd het project account toegevoegd worden als co-manager: wikitree-dutch-roots-project@googlegroups.com en ze kunnen PPP krijgen. :

==Biography==
Voor profielen die nog geen info en bronnen hebben kun je ook beginnen met de korte versies die je onderaan kunt vinden.
Voor de jongere Nederlandse (na 1811) profielen of profielen die niet direct project management/bescherming nodig hebben (geen hoog risico op duplicaten of problemen met de namen/patroniemen of ouders, actieve manager hebben etc.), kun je nu de Dutch Roots Sticker gebruiken en om toch ook een project overzicht, watchlist, feeds, te genereren, is er voor deze profielen de optie om eventueel het project toe te voegen aan de trusted list.
  • Stickers worden altijd geplaatst onder het hoofdstukje Biography en deze profielen mogen dus niet het project als co-manager hebben en kunnen ook geen PPP krijgen.

Voor profielen die nog geen info en bronnen hebben kun je ook beginnen met de korte versies die je onderaan kunt vinden.
Tip: De template, categorie of sticker hoef je in principe maar 1x te plaatsen, want heb je bijvoorbeeld een geboorteakte gevonden en moet de LNAB verandert worden, dan kun je in de template, categorie of sticker die je al geplaatst hebt gewoon bij de ingevulde needs=LNAB het woordje Birth in LNAB veranderen etc.
  • Let op: Er zijn maar 6 'needs' die je in kunt vullen ! :
  1. Birth = als een profiel nog een doop of geboorteakte of andere akte nodig heeft die laat zien of en wanneer en waar iemand geboren/gedoopt is.
  2. LNAB = Als de LNAB gecorrigeerd moet worden volgens de bronnen.
  3. PPP = Als een profiel PPP nodig heeft of als PPP eraf gehaald moet worden (plaats dan altijd even een berichtje met wat uitleg waarom de PPP eraf moet).
  4. More Records = Als een profiel nog meer info en aktes nodig heeft, dit kan van alles zijn, een huwelijksakte of contract, een overlijdensakte, notarielen akten, regesten, charters, familie registraties, naamsaanneming, etc.
  5. Biography = Als een profiel nog opgeschoond moet worden na een merge of omdat het nog een rommelig gedcom profiel is of als een profiel nog een biografie (lang of kort verhaaltje over iemands leven) nodig heeft.
  6. Profiles Created = Als een profiel bronnen bevat voor meerdere familieleden die allemaal nog geen profiel hebben bij WikiTree. (Voor het aanmaken van nieuwe profielen natuurlijk wel altijd even goed checken of er echt nog geen profiel van die persoon is dat misschien alleen nog verbonden moet worden.)
  • Als je het leuk of handig vindt om profielen verder te categoriseren, kun je als een profiel min of meer 'af' is, dus voorzien van info en bronnen, de parameters:|jaar= (geboortejaar!) en |provincie= (provincie waar iemand geboren is) invullen, daarmee worden profielen verder onderverdeeld (gecategoriseerd) en toegevoegd aan de verschillende categorieen van de subprojecten:
    Pre-1700: Nederlanders voor 1700
    1700-1811: Nederlanders 1700-1811
    na 1811: Nederlanders na 1811.
    Let op: Kijk, als je ze invult wel altijd goed na of je wel het juiste geboortejaar en de juiste provincie hebt ingevuld, als die niet overeeenkomen met de in het profiel ingevulde gegevens zal het een foutmelding (suggestie) geven.
    Als de jaar en provincie niet worden toegevoegd of ingevuld zijn profielen hier te vinden: Nederlanders
  • Er kunnen met de template of de sticker maar 3 needs tegelijk toegevoegd worden. Bijvoorbeeld:
    {{Netherlands|needs=PPP|needs1=More Records|needs2=Biography}} - {{Netherlands Sticker|needs=PPP|needs1=More Records|needs2=Biography}} en afhankelijk van de 'needs' (wat een profiel nodig heeft) zijn er natuurlijk verschillende combinaties mogelijk.
    Als een profiel dus meer dan 3 'needs' heeft, of als het profiel van een aan Nederland gerelateerd persoon al door een ander project beheerd wordt, dus als er al een template (project box) en project account van een ander project te zien zijn, plaats dan voor de Dutch Roots 'needs' alleen de categorie(en).
Hieronder kun je eventueel de korte template (project box) / sticker of de categorieen copieeren die je wilt plaatsen en kun je ook zien waar profielen terecht komen als je een needs hebt ingevuld, zo kunnen we dus allemaal samen aan de profielen in bijvoorbeeld de needs Birth of needs More Records categorie werken en iedereen kan nu dus helpen met het verbeteren van de Nederlandse profielen die nog hulp nodig hebben.
1. Als je een profiel tegen komt dat nog helemaal geen bronnen heeft en waar dus nog een geboorte / doopakte of ander bewijs voor iemands bestaan nodig is, dat nog netjes gemaakt moet worden of een biografie nodig heeft, kun je hierboven getoonde template (projectbox) of sticker plaatsen of beginnen met de ingekorte versie, kopieer en plak dan;

► als het project account geen co-manager is, begin dan met de {{Unsourced|Netherlands}} (boven ==Biography==) in combinatie met de sticker {{Netherlands Sticker|needs=Birth|needs1=Biography|needs2=}} (onder ==Biography== )

hiermee wordt het profiel toegevoegd aan het project en als je het leuk vindt om daaraan te werken, kun je ze hier vinden Needs Birth.
Let op: Zodra er een primaire of heel betrouwbare bron is toegevoegd voor iemands bestaan kan de {{Unsourced|Netherlands}} natuurlijk weer verwijdert worden.
2. Als bijv. na het vinden van een bron blijkt dat de LNAB gecorrigeerd moet worden, verander dan als er al een template/sticker of category geplaatst is gewoon het woordje Birth in LNAB of voeg het toe als needs1 of needs2, of, als er nog niets geplaatst is, kopieer en plak dan:

3. Als er een doop of geboorteakte is gevonden en er nog meer aktes nodig zijn, verander dan als er al een template/sticker of category geplaatst is gewoon het woordje Birth of LNAB in More Records of voeg het toe als needs2, of, als er nog niets geplaatst is, kopieer en plak dan:

4. Als een profiel PPP nodig heeft (zie * en ** !), verander dan als er al een template/sticker of category geplaatst is gewoon het woordje Birth/ LNAB in PPP, of, als er nog niets geplaatst is, kopieer en plak dan deze template:

5. Als een profiel opgeruimd of netjes gemaakt moet worden of een mooiere biografie nodig heeft, verander dan als er al een template/sticker of category geplaatst is gewoon het woordje Birth of LNAB in Biography of voeg het toe als needs2, of, als er nog niets geplaatst is, kopieer en plak dan:

6. Als een profiel bronnen bevat voor nog missende familieleden die nog geen profielen hebben bij WIkiTree (dus wel altijd eerst even checken !), verander dan als er al een template/sticker of category geplaatst is gewoon het woordje Birth in Profiles Created of voeg dit to als needs2, of, als er nog niets geplaatst is, kopieer en plak dan deze template bovenin de Bio:

  • Let op: Profielen in de PPP categorie zullen PPP krijgen van Bea Wijma, als er iets anders gedaan moet worden, bijvoorbeeld de PPP tijdelijk verwijdert om de LNAB te corrigeren, plaats dan een berichtje op het profiel waarin duidelijk vermeld is wat er gedaan moet worden. Door deze template te gebruiken, hoeven er geen links meer via email gestuurd te worden, het enige wat je hoeft te doen is deze template (poject box) plaatsen en profielen krijgen PPP.

    ** Let op: Omdat PPP vooral bedoelt is voor het beschermen van de LNAB en de ouders, en voor profielen met een hoog risico op duplicaten of verwarring, is het voor ons project vooral bedoelt voor Pre-1811 profielen, maar als er een goede reden is, bijvoorbeeld om met PPP ook de ouders te beschermen, of als een profiel duplicaatgevoelig is, beroemd of belangrijk voor onze geschiedenis, als iemand een zelf later een andere achternaam aangenomen heeft of gedopteerd is, dan kunnen ook jongere profielen PPP krijgen.

Dutch Roots Needs Templates and Categories

All early Dutch profiles (Pre-1811), because of o.a patronymics, problems with LNAB, high risk of duplicates and /or confusion, are candidates for Dutch Roots Project Management and Protection. Because now our projectbox (template) and sticker both have a maintenance system build in, with this system we can make all Dutch (related) profiles ready step by step, so clean them all up, add info and sources for Birth/Baptism, etc. + a nice narrative. Also make sure the Dutch Roots Project Account is added as 'co manager' for profiles if you use the Project box or template, this generates a Project watchlist and feeds, and makes it possible we can watch over, work on and share them all together. Project Account (added as co-manager) + (PPP) + Project box (template) always come together.

For Dutch after 1811 and other profiles that don't really or directly need project management (no high risk for duplicates, problems with names or parents, active manager, etc), you can use the more general Dutch Roots Sticker, to still help generate a project overview, watchlist and feeds, for these profiles there's the option to add the Project Account to the trusted list.
  • Stickers are placed below the content Biography and these profiles can't have PPP or the project account added to them as co-manager.

Tip: You in fact only have to place or copy and paste the template (project box), category or sticker once, because if for example you found and added a Birth record and the LNAB needs to be corrected, all you have to do is change, in the template, category or sticker you already had placed, the word needs=Birth to LNAB.
  • Note: There are only 6 'needs' you can fill in:
  1. Birth = if a profile still needs a Birth/Baptism or other record showing if or when a person was born or baptized and where.
  2. LNAB = If the LNAB needs to be corrected based on sources
  3. PPP = if profile needs PPP or if PPP needs to be removed (if it has to be removed add a post explaining why it needs to be removed)
  4. More Records = if a profile needs More Records, this can be anything, a marriage reocrd or contract, death record, notarial deeds, familyregistration, census, charter, regest, etc.
  5. Biography = if a profile still needs to be cleaned up after merge or because it's still Gedcom or if a profile still needs a biography-narrative.
  6. Profiles Created = if a profile has sources for other familymembers that still have no profile at WikiTree (before creating new profiles always first check if there's really no profile yet for a person that perhaps just still needs to be connected.)
  • If you like to categorize them further when a profile is more or less 'finished' , so sourced and improved and with at least a short narrative, you can add or fill in the parameters:|jaar= (year of Birth!) and |provincie= (province of Birth) of the projectbox (template) or sticker, by filling in these parameters profiles are categorized further and added to one of the categories of our subprojects:
    Pre-1700: Nederlanders voor 1700
    1700-1811: Nederlanders 1700-1811
    na 1811: Nederlanders na 1811.
    Note: When you are filling them in always check if you filled in the ones matching the year/province from the fields of the profile and if it all is correct according the sources, if they don't match it will cause an error (suggestion).

  • Note: If there's already a project box (template) placed by a different project and a project account as co-manager of this project, please just place the category for all or one of the needs. Also only three different needs can be placed at once with the template (project box) or the sticker, for example:

  • Note: Profiles in the PPP category will get PPP by Bea Wijma, if something else needs to be done, so when the PPP needs to be removed to correct a LNAB for example, just add a clear post to the profile where this is explained. So with this template you don't have to email links anymore, just adding the template is all you have to do and the profiles will get PPP't.

    ** Note : Because PPP is primarily intended for protecting the LNAB or the parents, and for profiles where there's a high risk of duplicates or confusion, etc., it, for our Project, is primarily meant for Pre-1811 profiles, but if there is a good reason, for example, to protect the parents, or if a profile is duplicate-sensitive, famous or important to our History, or if someone was adopted or adopted another surname him or herself, then younger profiles may also get PPP.

When is a profile 'ready' ? Some examples

A profile is ready when it has proper sources and a Bio with contents and/or some info added.

To make sure Projects will have a good overview and can keep track of and watch over their PPP'd or other project managed profiles, all Projects have a Project Profile (Account), that has to be added standard in combination with the Project box (template) to all, early (for the Dutch Roots Project these are all Pre-1811) profiles that need help, management, or PPP, here : Project Profiles you can read what a Project Profile does and why it was created for the projects. If members join the Google Group of the Project Profile, they will, 'see the Project Profile feed', the group in fact is just the Inbox of the project account, so now everyone can read all notifications/email and this will make it much easier for project members to participate, and we now all can share, watch over and work together on all project profiles/deeper ancestors together. Adding the Project Account generates a Project Watch list and Feed, so we all will know what is going on, where the action is, who is asking for our help, merge proposals, and everyone can pitch in and help much easier and quicker. :)

If a profile has a Project Template (or PPP), the Project Account has to be added as co-manager, and the other way around it's the same, so if the Project Profile is added as (co)'manager' (has PPP), a Project Template has to be added to the profile, so Project Profile and Project Templates go together.
For Project Members: If you manage or come across orphaned Dutch Roots Pre-1811 or other Dutch Roots Profiles that are already (or going to be) templated and or PPP'd, the project profile needs to be added as 'manager' as well, because only if it's added as 'co-manager' it will generate a Project watchlist and feed, which will give everyone a project overview. It is also a possibility to reduce the amount of profiles you're managing and be absolutely sure the profiles are taken care of and watched over by the project and it's enthusiastic and caring members for as long as WT exists. How ?
1.You stay manager and can just add the Project Account as additional or 'co- manager'.
2. You can add the Project Account as manager and stay on the trusted list yourself
3. If you want to reduce the amount of profiles you are managing, you can add the Project Account as sole manager and remove yourself.
Whatever you prefer or do, it's a great and probably the only way to make sure we all can watch over and share and because of this be co-manager of all ancestors that have the Project account added as 'manager,' without the need to add thousands of managers to 1 profile, because it generates a project overview, watchlist and feed we all can view using the Google group.
For all Wikitree members: A few very good reasons to add the project as manager
  • By this you can make sure they will always be looked for and after by the project and enthusiastic and caring members, they will never end up orphaned..and the best thing is, thousands of members can now very easy share and watch over or work on these profiles, our deeper ancestors, by joining Project(s) and using the Google Group(s) that are attached to the Project Profile(s) (Accounts)
  • If you are managing a lot of Dutch profiles, but just don't have enough time to work on them and get them finished,
  • If you don't know where to start or where to find the proper sources for them
  • If you need help finding , adding and or reading sources
  • If you really would like and could use some help sourcing and improving any of the Dutch (Pre-1811) ones you're managing:
This is how you can add the Project Profile as manager:
  1. Click the Privacy tab on these Dutch profiles.
  2. In the Add to Trusted List section, enter: wikitree-dutch-roots-project@googlegroups.com and press Add this Person
  3. To add the Dutch Roots Project as manager: In the Trusted List section,
  4. check the box ☑ in front of the links: wikitree-dutch-roots-project@googlegroups.com press Add as Manager.
This way we can help and try to fisnish and PPP them if needed.


Hulp nodig van ons Project ? Het Project Profiel

Om een goed overzicht te hebben van ons Project, waarmee we op de hoogte blijven van alles en zo over onze Project en PPP profielen kunnen waken, ze delen en er samen aan kunnen werken, hebben alle projecten een Project Profiel (Project Account). Dit project profiel + een project template moeten nu standaard worden toegevoegd als manager en aan alle vroege (Pre-1811 in ons geval) profielen die hulp, project management en/of PPP nodig hebben en alle profielen met een project template (project box genoemd), of PPP, moeten ook het project als 'co manager' toegevoegd krijgen, het mag ook toegevoegd worden als enige 'manager' als je bijvoorbeeld zelf teveel profielen hebt en wilt minderen, of aan verlaten (orphaned en vroege) Nederlandse profielen als je die tegen komt, etc.
Hier: Project Profiles, kun je lezen wat een Project Profiel precies inhoud en waarom het bedacht is als middel om te gebruiken, voor de verschillende Projecten. De toevoeging van het project profiel als 'manager' genereert een project overzicht, watchlist en feed, als leden de uitnodiging van de Project Profiel Google groep accepteren of zichzelf aanmelden voor deze groep, zullen ze de Project Profiel feed kunnen bekijken, de google groep is in feite gewoon de inbox van het projectaccount en dit zal het voor iedereen gemakkelijker maken om actief mee te doen, want dankzij dit project overzicht, de watchlist en project feed zullen we alle project profielen en vroege voorouders kunnen delen en zal iedereen altijd op de hoogte kunnen zijn en blijven, precies weten waar we aan werken (waar de actie is) en zo dus ook veel sneller en gemakkelijker mee kunnen doen. :)

Als een profiel een project template (en /of PPP) heeft, moet ook het project account toegevoegd worden als co-manager en andersom, dus als een project profiel co manager is van een profiel (en/of PPP heeft), moet er ook een Project template toegevoegd worden. Dus het Project Profiel (PPP) en de Project Templates gaan altijd samen.
Voor Project leden: Als je vroege (Pre-1811) of latere Dutch Roots Profielen hebt, die voorzien zijn van een project template en/of PPP. Alle PPP of project profielen met een template moeten ook het project als manager hebben, want alleen zo wordt er een project overzicht, watchlist en feed gegenereert en krijgen we via de project google group meldingen binnen als wij of anderen aan zo'n PPP profiel werken of er een berichtje op posten. Ook is het toevoegen van het project profiel natuurlijk een prima mogelijkheid om het aantal profielen dat je beheert te reduceren. Door het Project Profiel als (mede) manager toe te voegen aan de profielen, ben je ervan verzekerd dat er altijd over deze profielen wordt gewaakt en gezorgd door enthousiaste leden van het Dutch Roots Project en het is dus ook een heel mooie en waarschijnlijk de enige manier die het mogelijk maakt om heel eenvoudig al onze (vroege) voorouders te delen zonder dat er duizenden managers aan 1 profiel toe hoeven te worden gevoegd. Hoe ?
1. Je blijft zelf manager en voegt het project account toe als mede 'manager'
2. Je voegt het project account toe als manager en blijft zelf alleen aanwezig op de trusted list
3.Wil je het aantal profielen dat je managed reduceren, om je watchlist beheersbaar te houden. Je voegt het project toe als manager en verwijdert jezelf daarna.
Wat je ook doet of wat ook je voorkeur heeft, het is een geweldige en waarschijnlijk de enige manier om er zeker van te zijn dat we allemaal een overzicht hebben en hierdoor allemaal co-manager worden en zo heel eenvoudig duizenden profielen kunnen delen waar het project profiel aan is toegevoegd als 'manager,' omdat het een project overzicht, watchlist en feed generereerd die we allemaal kunnen volgen middels de Google Groep.
Voor alle Wikitree leden:
Goede redenen om het project profiel als manager toe te voegen zijn :
  • Als je te veel Nederlandse profielen beheert en niet genoeg tijd hebt om eraan te werken.
  • Als je niet weet waar je moet beginnen of waar je de juiste bronnen kunt vinden.
  • Je hulp nodig hebt bij het vinden van bronnen en het lezen daarvan.
  • Als je advies nodig hebt om bijv. je Pre-1811 profielen netjes op te maken met plaatjes en referenties.
  • We kunnen hierdoor heel eenvoudig onze vroege voorouders delen en er samen aan werken zonder dat er duizenden managers aan 1 profiel hoeven worden toegevoegd. De profielen zullen nooit zonder manager komen te zitten en er zullen altijd Project leden zijn die er voor zorgen dat de profielen er goed en accuraat uit zien. Voorzien van alle beschikbare info en bronnen en er samen voor waken dat ook privacy bijvoorbeeld gewaarborgt blijft.
  • Dus als je project bescherming of hulp nodig hebt voor de (pre-1811) profielen waar je manager van bent"
Het Project Profiel kun, je als je manager bent van een profiel, als volgt toevoegen :
  1. Klik op de tab Privacy van het profiel.
  2. In de "Add to Trusted List" sectie, plak of typ je: wikitree-dutch-roots-project@googlegroups.com Klik daarna op: Add this Person
  3. Om het Dutch Roots Project als manager toe te voegen: Ga naar de Trusted List sectie. ( onder in het tabblad Privacy)

  4. Vink het hokje ☑ aan voor de links: wikitree-dutch-roots-project@googlegroups.com klik Add as Manager.

Op deze manier kunnen we helpen en proberen om ze klaar te maken en te PPP'en als dat nodig is.

Other Categories

  • Make sure any categories used, beyond basic project-specific ones, line up with how the Categorization Project sets them up. You can ask on G2G with the categorization or categories tags, or join their Gmail group to ask there. I imagine quite a few already exist.
  • Zorg ervoor dat alle gebruikte categorieën, naast de project-specifieke, in lijn zijn met de manier waarop het Categorization Project dit doet. Je kunt vragen via een G2G met de tags 'categorization' of 'category' , of deelnemen aan hun Gmail- groep om daar te vragen . Ik kan me zo voorstellen dat een heleboel al bestaan.
