DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Rhoda by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Rhoda:
Prouty-808 and Prouty-269 appear to represent the same person because: Same actuarial dates, locations, one spouse. The Joseph Willard (1781-abt.1837) profile is probably an incorrect spouse for this Rhoda Prouty.
So far I have been unable to find hard evidence that Joseph Willard's wife Rhoda was Rhoda Prouty. However, the unsourced family tree handed down to Flo (Carroll) Conklin and the FindAGrave entry for Rhoda Prouty Willard entry agree that she was married to Joseph Willard. Why do you think this is probably and incorrect spouse for this Rhoda Prouty? The death dates of Rhoda Willard and this Rhoda Prouty do match. Unfortunately, the Gedcom upload has not preserved enough information to check the sources that were used to create the record making it more difficult to review where the dates here came from. This record even says she is the mother of Orlando Willard which will be the next merge.
I presume you will approve the merge on the two Rhoda Prouty profiles at this point. I observe that you completed the merge on the Willard-4123 profile which is the one I stated was probably incorrect because it had 1781 as his birth year, which would have made him 22 years younger than Rhoda. Your merge has now fixed that.
For her husband, the Joseph Willard III (1761-1837) is another one which was improperly created. The surname configuration is incorrect, so I initiated a merge for it as well. The Joseph Willard (1761-1837) should be the surviving package.
