In February, 1701, Jonathan Provost purchased a lot on north side of Wall Street of Mary Milbourne, the daughter of Jacob Leisler (Lib. 26, pp. 102-106). By his will, proven December 30, 1702, he devises considerable property to his wife's son by a former marriage and names his widow and children.

I think an incorrect mother (Rachel Van Tienhoven), is listed in your biography narrative, The New Amsterdam birth record, for Jonathon is incorrect.
1651 Mar 26; David Provoost; Jonathan; Rachel Van Tienhoven Maybe it only lists the father and her as a witness. If so its a trap.
The list of NA birth records, shows her married to ( Johannes du Mortier) in many other places.
