Margaret was only 12 years old when she married David.
Margaret's father died when she was an infant and she assumed the name of Puckett, that of her step-father.
Margaret and David are buried in the Hamlett Cemetery, east of Wood, Iowa. David moved his family there with the exception of 3 children. He purchased many parcels of land and they all became farmers and raised horses and cattle and became politicians. :David's will was probated early 1891 in Clayton County, Iowa.
